Surah The Cow [Al-Baqara] Ayah 286 Location Madanah Number 2
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمۡ أَحۡرَصَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَوٰةٖ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُواْۚ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمۡ لَوۡ يُعَمَّرُ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحۡزِحِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ [٩٦]
96. Tu trouveras qu’ils tiennent à la vie plus que les autres hommes et plus que les associâtres.[36] Chacun d’eux voudrait vivre mille ans. Mais qu’il bénéficie d’une telle longévité ne lui fera point éviter le supplice… Et Allah Voit Tout ce qu’ils font.
