Surah Spoils of war, booty [Al-Anfal] Ayah 75 Location Madanah Number 8
وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالُواْ قَدۡ سَمِعۡنَا لَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَقُلۡنَا مِثۡلَ هَٰذَآ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ [٣١]
و چون آیات ما بر آنان خوانده شود، می‌گویند: «به خوبى شنیدیم. اگر مى‌خواستیم، ما نیز قطعاً همانند این [سخنان] را مى‌گفتیم. این [قرآن، چیزی] نیست، مگر افسانه‌هاى [خیالی] پیشینیان».
