Surah The Cow [Al-Baqara] Ayah 286 Location Madanah Number 2
۞ وَإِن كُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٖ وَلَمۡ تَجِدُواْ كَاتِبٗا فَرِهَٰنٞ مَّقۡبُوضَةٞۖ فَإِنۡ أَمِنَ بَعۡضُكُم بَعۡضٗا فَلۡيُؤَدِّ ٱلَّذِي ٱؤۡتُمِنَ أَمَٰنَتَهُۥ وَلۡيَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّهُۥۗ وَلَا تَكۡتُمُواْ ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَۚ وَمَن يَكۡتُمۡهَا فَإِنَّهُۥٓ ءَاثِمٞ قَلۡبُهُۥۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ عَلِيمٞ [٢٨٣]
283. Si estuvieran de viaje y no encontraran un escriba, pueden tomar algo en garantía[1]. No obstante, si confían el uno en el otro [no hay necesidad de una garantía, pero] el deudor debe honrar esta confianza [pagando la deuda], y que tenga temor de Dios, su Señor. Que nadie se niegue a prestar testimonio cuando sea convocado, porque quien lo oculta tiene un corazón malvado. Y Dios sabe cuanto hacen.
