وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَرۡيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتۡ مِنۡ أَهۡلِهَا مَكَانٗا شَرۡقِيّٗا

And mention, O Messenger, in the Quran revealed to you, the story of Mary (peace be upon her) when she retreated from her family and stayed separately in a place towards the east of them.
فَٱتَّخَذَتۡ مِن دُونِهِمۡ حِجَابٗا فَأَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرٗا سَوِيّٗا

Then she placed a screen between herself and her people concealing her so they could not see her when she worshipped her Lord. Then We sent Gabriel (peace be upon him) to her, so he appeared to her in the form of a perfectly-formed human. So she thought he had ill intentions towards her.
قَالَتۡ إِنِّيٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
Thus, when she saw him in the form of a perfectly-formed human heading towards her, she said: I seek the protection of the Merciful from you that any harm should come to me from you; if you are heedful, fearing Allah.
قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمٗا زَكِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
Gabriel (peace be upon him) said: I am not a human. I am merely a messenger from your Lord. He sent me to you to grant you a wholesome and pure child.
قَالَتۡ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَلَمۡ يَمۡسَسۡنِي بَشَرٞ وَلَمۡ أَكُ بَغِيّٗا

In amazement, Mary said, How can I have a child when neither a husband nor anyone else has come near me, nor am I fornicator for me to have a child?
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٞۖ وَلِنَجۡعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةٗ لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحۡمَةٗ مِّنَّاۚ وَكَانَ أَمۡرٗا مَّقۡضِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
Gabriel told her: The matter is as you mentioned, that no husband or anyone else has touched you, nor are you a fornicator. However, your Lord said: Creating a child without a father is easy for Me. And it is so that the child bestowed on you will be a sign to the people of the power of Allah, and mercy from Us to you and whoever believes in him. The creation of this child of yours is a fixed decree from Allah, written in the Preserved Tablet.
۞فَحَمَلَتۡهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتۡ بِهِۦ مَكَانٗا قَصِيّٗا

So she conceived him after the angel blew [the soul], and then she withdrew with him to a place far from people.
فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلۡمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ قَالَتۡ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي مِتُّ قَبۡلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسۡيٗا مَّنسِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
Then her labor pains started and caused her to take refuge by the trunk of a date palm tree. Mary (peace be upon her) said: If only I had died before this day and I was something unmentioned so that people would not think bad of me.
فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحۡتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحۡزَنِي قَدۡ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحۡتَكِ سَرِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
Then Jesus called to her from beneath her feet: Do not grieve. Your Lord has made a stream of water beneath you from which you can drink.
وَهُزِّيٓ إِلَيۡكِ بِجِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ تُسَٰقِطۡ عَلَيۡكِ رُطَبٗا جَنِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
And get hold of the date palm trunk and shake it; it will drop soft fresh dates on you, harvested at that moment.
فَكُلِي وَٱشۡرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيۡنٗاۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡبَشَرِ أَحَدٗا فَقُولِيٓ إِنِّي نَذَرۡتُ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ صَوۡمٗا فَلَنۡ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ إِنسِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
So eat of the fresh dates, drink from the water, be pleased with your child, and do not grieve. And if you see anyone among the people asking you regarding the matter of the child, tell him: I have bound myself to silence from speech for my Lord’s sake, so I will not speak to anyone today.
فَأَتَتۡ بِهِۦ قَوۡمَهَا تَحۡمِلُهُۥۖ قَالُواْ يَٰمَرۡيَمُ لَقَدۡ جِئۡتِ شَيۡـٔٗا فَرِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
Then Mary came to her people carrying her son. Her people said to her, in objection: O Mary, you have come with a tremendous matter of falsehood, in that you have come with a child without a father.
يَـٰٓأُخۡتَ هَٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمۡرَأَ سَوۡءٖ وَمَا كَانَتۡ أُمُّكِ بَغِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
You who resembles Aaron (a righteous man) in worship, your father was not an adulterer, nor was your mother. Thus, you are from a pure household known to be righteous, so how can you come with a child without a father?
فَأَشَارَتۡ إِلَيۡهِۖ قَالُواْ كَيۡفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِي ٱلۡمَهۡدِ صَبِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
So she pointed towards her son Jesus (peace be upon him), who was in a cradle. So the people said in bemusement: How can we talk to a child while he is [so young that he is still] in the cradle?
قَالَ إِنِّي عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِيَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
Jesus (peace be upon him) said: Indeed, I am the slave of Allah. He gave me the Gospel and appointed me as one of His prophets.
وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيۡنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوۡصَٰنِي بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمۡتُ حَيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
And He made me a source of great benefit for the slaves [of Allah] wherever I go. And He ordered me to perform prayer and give zakat (obligatory alms) for as long as I live.
وَبَرَّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِي وَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡنِي جَبَّارٗا شَقِيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
And He made me benevolent to my mother. And He did not make me arrogant against the obedience of my Lord, nor did He make me disobedient to Him.
وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ عَلَيَّ يَوۡمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوۡمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوۡمَ أُبۡعَثُ حَيّٗا
الإنجليزية | English
And security from the Devil and his helpers is upon me on the day of my birth, the day of my death, and the day I shall be revived to life on the Day of Resurrection. So the Devil will not corrupt me in these three desolate situations.
ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَۖ قَوۡلَ ٱلۡحَقِّ ٱلَّذِي فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ

The one described with those qualities is Jesus, son of Mary. This speech is the statement of truth regarding him, unlike what is said by misguided people who are filled with doubt about him and differ.
مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٖۖ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥٓۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
الإنجليزية | English
It does not befit Allah to have a son, sanctified and hallowed He is from that. When He intends something, it is enough for Him to say regarding that matter: Be,
then it undoubtedly is. So He who is like that is hallowed from having a son.
