قُلۡ مَا كُنتُ بِدۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَمَآ أَدۡرِي مَا يُفۡعَلُ بِي وَلَا بِكُمۡۖ إِنۡ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ [٩]
(ਹੇ ਨਬੀ!) ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖ ਦਿਓ! ਮੈਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਆਰਾ ਰਸੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਬਸ ਉਸੇ ਦੀ ਪੈਰਵੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵਹੀ (ਰੱਬੀ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ) ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ।
